Prior to entering medical school, Dr Yee was trained in molecular and developmental genetics.
He served as research assistant and lecturer in developmental genetics at UC Davis and as Visiting Scholar in cell biology at Stanford University.
Together with publications on facial development, Dr Yee has published works on muscular dystrophy as well as topics in cardiology.
His interests are in vascular wall biology and coronary interventions (angioplasty).
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
